Thermansys designed and developed this Multihead Electrolysis Reactor to be used on Solid Oxide Fuel Cell research.
The reactor vessel is constructed entirely of SS310 fire-resistant stainless steel. The reactor base plate, which holds up to 12 individual tubular Solid Oxide Cell reactors and all necessary instrumentation and fittings, is placed on top of the reactor outside the furnace’s heated zone. A cooling compartment ensures that the head maintains a low enough temperature to protect gaskets and allow for safe handling.
The reactor is covered by an RCT-BW2-T-1200 tube furnace model, which is specially customized to accept the multi-head reactor. The furnace operation is fully managed by the Pyromodular system combined with Pyrologism software.
