Ceramic Crucibles

Thermansys

Thermansys offers a range of ceramic crucibles suitable for calcinating and melting various alloys, ashing, sintering and many other high temperature applications.

The main quality of a crucible is its ability to withstand temperatures above the melting temperatures of the alloys deposited by metallurgists without altering or polluting the molten metal. In some cases, when a crucible is brought to these very high temperatures, it must be strong enough to withstand being moved for the casting of parts.

Thermansys produces a broad range of refractory crucibles and technical ceramics in various sizes and forms. Whatever your application requirements, you will find a suitable crucible among the different materials we offer.

Our team can and will help you choose the crucible and the material that best meets your requirements.

Application Examples

  • Analytical applications
  • Metals melting
  • Ceramic powders heat treatment
  • Material acid treatment even at elevated temperature
  • Crucibles for annealing
  • Crucibles for fusion processes
  • Crucibles for crystal growing
  • Crucibles for extremely corrosive environments like plasma etching
  • Analytical applications
  • Metals melting
  • Ceramic powders heat treatment
  • Material acid treatment even at elevated temperature
  • Melting or sintering of precious metals and super-alloys.
  • Dental restorations sintering
  • Crystal growing,
  • Crucibles for extremely corrosive environments like plasma etching etc
  • Analytical applications, metals melting
  • Ceramic powders heat treatment,
  • Material acid treatment
  • Melting or sintering of precious metals and super-alloys
  • Glass making laboratory processes. When glassy or siliceous slags are present in your melt, Zircon crucible is the solution.
  • Melting platinum-group alloys. Zircon crucibles’ strength and resistance to high temperature makes them right for those special “dirty refining” applications.
  • Metal melting and casting. The cast metal does not stick to the zircon crucible even at high temperature.
  • Zircon is notable in being unwetted by molten Aluminum.
